We were seventh: Me, Alice, Mickey, Tori, Wade and BeckyI know you all have been waiting very patiently for me to get some pictures up and today is the day! We arrived home last night at about 11:30 after quite a week promoting camp. We promoted in 29 seperate classrooms and played the same exact games over and over again. We also bonded well as a team because we were together constantly and went through some hard things, as well as some fun and exiting things. We had 5 or 6 barbecues at which we had kielbasa, so we are pretty much done with kielbasa right now. We also had some van troubles. The brakes squicked, along with a whole lot of other unusual noises, but we made it back safely, and we discovered that the breaks are still pretty new, so they are ok, their just squicky. We have ice cream almost everyday, which causes much delight to many of the team members.
Here are two interesting things that happened to me. The first is this: Marta and I went looking for a pay phone on Sunday night because I was trying to call a friend in the states. After three phones we found one that took the phone card, but my friend wasn't home, so Marta called her husband. I waited on a bench a little ways off and as I waited a woman came up to me and started to talk to me loudly. I told I didn't understand her and she tried talking to me in German. After a couple of minutes, I realized she was a little drunk and so I got up to go over to Marta. She followed about a minute later. Then Marta who was still talking to Tomek shooed here away. But it was still quit the adventure. Marta said she didn't sound drunk, but she certainly smelled it, so we figured she was crazy and drunk.
The second story is this. Mosquitoes seem to enjoy biting me. Which I didn't think much about. Monday night I got about 5 bites and didn't think much of it until Tuesday night rolled around and I was touching one on the back of my arm and realized how swollen I was. Then I told Marta and she felt it and realized I was not only swollen but feverish. So we began checking out my other bites and we all quickly realized that yes, Miss Allergy is allergic to something else: Mosquitoes. So Marta went to the store and got me some drugs and cream. I am just fine, but now I just have to be careful about that so that I don't react any worse.
So those are some fun stories for you all. I miss you all and hope that all your summers are going well. More soon.

oh Rachel,
I just had to chuckle at you allergy story-at least there are no american cockroaches over there. I love you so much. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rachel....
The nice thing is that whatever you are allergic to means we know what Mikaela can and cannot have or do:) Keep up the positive attitude! We love you.
Uncle Ken, Aunt Theresa and girls!
